1. Who we are

WOW Scales (Pty) Ltd ("WOW Scales", "we", "us") operates this website to display our products and services and accept enquiries, quote requests, and orders. Our office is in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa. Contact: [email protected] · 051 432 9552.

2. Use of the website

You may browse this website for information about our products and services and to submit enquiries, quote requests, complaints, or orders. You agree not to use the site in a way that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or that interferes with normal operation. We may suspend access without notice if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

3. Accounts

Some features (such as tracking your orders) require an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity carried out under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Product information and pricing

We make every effort to display product information, specifications, images, and prices accurately. Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT is added at the prevailing rate at checkout. Pricing, specifications, and availability may change at any time without notice.

In the event of an obvious pricing error (for example a product priced at a fraction of its market value due to a system or human error), we reserve the right to cancel the order, refund any payment, and notify you of the correct price before re-confirming.

5. Quotes

Quotations issued in response to a website request or generated automatically through Xero are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless a different period is stated on the quote. A quote is not an order; an order is only created once you confirm checkout on the site or accept the quote in writing.

6. Orders and payment

Placing an order on the website is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline at our discretion (for example if the item is out of stock, mispriced, or cannot be delivered). We will notify you by email if we cannot accept an order.

Payment options shown at checkout (for example EFT, on-site payment) determine when and how payment is taken. EFT orders are reserved when the order is placed and confirmed once payment reflects in our account. Use the supplied order reference as the payment reference.

7. Delivery and collection

Delivery, collection, or courier arrangements are agreed at checkout. Where you arrange your own courier, risk in the goods passes to you when the courier collects from our premises. Where we quote separately for shipping, the courier quotation must be accepted before dispatch.

8. Returns and warranties

Goods carry the manufacturer's standard warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Returns and warranty claims must be raised within a reasonable time and supported by the original order reference. Custom-built or customer-specified items (such as configured weighbridges) cannot be returned for change of mind. This does not affect any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

9. Calibration and services

Calibration, repairs, and maintenance are scheduled and quoted separately. Service work is performed in accordance with applicable SANAS standards where stated on the quote or service report.

10. Intellectual property

All site content (text, images, logos, product photography, and layout) is owned by WOW Scales or our suppliers and is protected by South African and international copyright. You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial use; any other use requires our written permission.

11. Privacy

Personal information you provide is processed in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and your POPIA rights.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WOW Scales is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of the website or from any product or service supplied, including loss of profit, production, or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

13. Third-party links and integrations

The site links to or integrates with third-party services (for example Xero for accounting, Microsoft 365 for email). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or availability of those services.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change is treated as acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
